Fees and application

There is no costs to Volunteer with our projects. If you have planned your accommodation in Moshi and you are looking to volunteer here is your opportunity. However we provide Hostel open for both volunteers and non Volunteers.If you are looking to stay at the Hostel Foot Prince, there some charges made affordable and  includes the following. 

What's Included
• breakfast and dinner.
• room & board
• daily in-person availability at the hostel.
• post-volunteering support.

What's Not Included • visa • airfare • medicines/vaccinations • health/travel insurance • airport pick up and  drop off.VISA fee $ 120 plus $30 for processing ,in Tanzania you need class c visa to volunteer.

Program Fees
Costs are for your stay only, and are paid on a per night basis, which covers accommodation in our volunteer House "The Foot Prince Hostel”.

 

1day to 15 days                              USD  $20 per night

16 days 2 months                           USD  $15 per night

3 months to 6 months                     USD  $12 per night

6 months +                                      USD $10 per night

 

We always do our best to provide confirmed volunteers with as detailed an itinerary as possible of the work they shall be doing after arriving. If you would like to have private room or having any special requests please let us know. For maximum volunteer satisfaction, it is important for volunteers to tell us which projects they would like to work in. Once volunteers have applied and described their skills and their interests, we take time to source the best possible placement for them.

 

Application Process

STEP ONE:
Choose the program you wish to volunteer in as well as the dates you will be volunteering. 

STEP TWO:
We sort out your visa for you, this will need to be done at least 5 weeks before arrival. You will need to send us the following information:

  • Scanned pages of your passport.
  • A scanned passport photo which will be duplicated into 6pics.
  • A copy of your CV and scanned of the certificate of your higher qualification.
  • A hand written, complete visa application form. more instruction will be emailed you about this.
  • $150 USD non refundable for your Class C permit (Bank account details will be sent to you following your inquiry).

If we are enabled to get your visa on time or you are applying at very short time,you will need to purchase your visa upon arrival and continue for class C permit while in Tanzania.The visa to Tanzania can be easily obtained at the airport just by filling the form.

 

STEP THREE:
Once we receive your email we will send you detailed information on everything you need to know about your impending volunteer placement relevant to your specific country and program and to fulfill all remaining administration duties with you such as:

  • Linking you with other volunteers who will be volunteering at the same time as you.
  • Your hostel balance fee have to be paid generally when you arrive in Tanzania.

Payments-Deposit for the hostel is $200.

  • We will review your application and let you know via email whether or not your application has been accepted.
  • If your application is accepted, then the deposit becomes non-refundable.
  • Should you need to cancel your trip due to an emergency, your hostel fees (exclusive Visa deposit) will be refunded.
