Project Review

Project Location: Moshi Urban.

Minimum time: 2-4 weeks

Best time to Volunteer: All around the year but likely from June if you want to meet other volunteers.

Number of Volunteer at a time: from 2 to 15.

Project Activities: Volunteers are working along with locals builders on constructing schools, orphanage,sanitation and sewage system.This including brick making,paintings, carpentry,assisting constructor by providing them building materials. There is on going farm work that involves planting trees,green vegetables and animal husbandry.

Volunteer schedule: Arrival and be met-Next day orientation including Moshi town excursion,Project visit and learn what you will be doing-Start the project. Project normally starts on Monday to Friday.During the weekend there is many program including day trips and community task works

Accommodation: Volunteer can decide to stay at the hostel hostel Foot Prince or at any accommodation in Moshi town.

Resources available for Volunteer: There is reference from previous volunteers on same projects,transport when you are going on outreach outside Moshi town, building materials, local assistance all the time when you are at the project.

Recommended thing to bring: There is a need to have your own building suit at work and hut. You can get them in Moshi around Moshi.

Project summary: We are currently designing the new youth center, and will be working with the villagers to build it. Howaver we are working by assisting variour on going community building projects such as schools,health care center,orphanages and sewage system.For the family Volunteering,this project has wide opportunity as some who can not afford building can work on farm or garden.The project is open for an individuals,family and group.
