Project Location:
Moshi Urban and Rural

Minimum time: 4 weeks

Best time to Volunteer: All year round but if you want to meet other volunteers from June to September.

Number of Volunteers at a time: from 1 to 8.

Project Activities: Volunteers are working along with locals on educating victims on health and nutrition,safe sex,teaching youth awareness to prevent new infections,first aid course,sports,nursing, caring for HIV victims at their home.

Volunteer schedule: Met upon arrival. Second day orientation including Moshi town excursion,visit the project and learn what you will be doing before you start. Project normally starts on Monday to Friday.During the weekend there are many activities including day trips and community work tasks.

Accommodation:
Volunteers can decide to stay at the hostel (with a fee)or at any accommodation in Moshi town.

Resources available for Volunteers: There are references from previous volunteers on the same projects. Transport when you are going on outreach outside Moshi town and teaching classrooms.

Recommended thing to bring: There are so many things to bring however most of them can be obtained in Moshi. Gloves, clothes,toothpaste,food,mosquito nets,hand lamp, and much more.

Project summary:
The project is on going and takes place in Moshi urban and rural. We are working together with local established centers,hospitals,clinics and churches to reach the community in need.The out reach program is conducted once or twice a week and Volunteers will be briefed the time table at the project.Both male,female,students,medical,doctors and other professionals can volunteer at this project. There is no specific skills required to volunteer at this project.
