Foot2Afrika's mission is to work collaboratively with the community in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania to identify vulnerable groups, increase access to education, to protect life and health, and to ensure respect for every human being. In addition to the Moshi Youth Village, a comprehensive community education initiative, Foot2Afrika provides support to several youth centres and schools in Moshi, including Tumona Secondary School and Msamaria Center for Street Children. We also train and support business initiatives at Rudisha Women’s Group, a women’s collective that makes and manufactures handmade products. Through our volunteering program, we are also able to aid a community youth sports program, a juvenile detention centre, and several villages including a remote Maasai community with programming and resources.
We are proud to say that we provide mentoring, material support, and program services to over fourteen Kilimanjaro region community organizations. We strive to create community-based and community-led solutions to the many issues the people of Tanzania face. Foot2Afrika is a well-known and respected organization that many people in the Kilimanjaro region rely on.
